We’ve been cooped up in the Ryerson journalism school mag lab for almost 12 hours, fact checking, copy editing, and finishing up layout.
We’ve had our delirious moments laughing hysterically, ate too many mini donuts and brewed some chamomile tea to settle our tummies.
In a few short hours we’ll be transferring our files into PDFs and sending them away to be printed.
This year, McClung’s has made bold new steps with a total redesign. We’ve challenged mainstream media by printing stories about rape as a weapon of war, why lesbian publications aren’t doing so swell and how to stick it to the meat industry and go vegan.
We are a collective of women and men dedicated to the craft of journalism through a feminist paradigm.
We’re trying to show that feminism ain’t what it used to be.
