Your sexual past shouldn’t be policed, defined or validated by anyone but you. Whether you’re having it or not, want to or not, waiting or truly don’t care at all the old adage remains: your body, your business.
Women (and men) won’t forget
So remember the 14 women who died. Take a moment to reflect on the hundreds and thousands of woman and girls that have endured sexual, physical and verbal abuse and harassment at home, on campus, in the workplace or in any other public area. Mourn those that have disappeared or gone missing… and then, work for change.
Today, 21 years later, the horrific event (also known as the “Montréal Massacre”) has become the basis of recognizing widespread gender-based violence in our society that occurs every single day, here in Canada and beyond.
Event: Tabula Rasa’s Holiday Give-Back!
The ladies at Tabula will be taking in old scarves, boots, hats and gloves and donating them to Eva’s Initiatives, a Toronto organization that provides housing for homeless, at-risk youth. Meanwhile, item-specific gift drives will take place in the store each Saturday, from now until December 18.
