What power? Power gained by using sexuality to get an upper hand? When the message of the song is supposed to reflect female empowerment, gaining power in this sense is something which would be seen as problematic to some.

Discrimination in B.C? No funding for advocacy groups in Pickton inquiry

We live in a society that continues to perpetuate this patriarchal hierarchy, in our schools, our courts and our government. The missing women inquiry could help the government and police understand why so many women living in this area are vulnerable to these types of crimes.
